In addition to this experience, Steve Fisher is a writer of fiction, who holds a B.S. and M.A. in Education and certification in Instructional Design. He is also a reviewer of videotapes and DVDs for Video Librarian magazine.
Mr. Fisher says, "It's rare that you have the chance to work on a project that perfectly blends all of your skills and experience, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with Five Star Educational on Computer Crafts. Working with art, kids and computers -- it's this teacher's idea of educational heaven!"
When asked why teachers will be attracted to the computer art lesson plan, Steve replies, "Well, I hope they're going to find it indispensable for three reasons--educational soundness, an excellent range of creative activities, and ease of use for both the teacher and the student. The activities presented in Computer Art offer great variety for the teacher and the kids to meet all interests. The lesson plans are easy to follow and implement. Kids can get plugged into their activities and into being creative in no time. Best of all, they see their ideas take shape quickly. They can share their creativity and pride of accomplishment with classmates within minutes!"
Steve added this information about the computer art activities offered in the program: "They range from the beautiful (butterflies) to the mischievous (paper airplanes) to the adventurous (treasure maps). Here's a more complete list..."
